North Bay PoliceA 30 year old man with no fixed address is facing charges, including two counts of assault with a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon after an incident Tuesday morning.

North Bay Police were called about a suspicious person walking in the middle of the road and interfering with traffic in the Pinewood area.

It’s further alleged a man went to the residence of a couple known to him, revealed he was carrying a knife, threatened a woman and left.

She told her partner who left in his vehicle and found the man walking on Oakwood Avenue.

A knife was allegedly pulled out by the accused with the driver avoiding the threats and leaving the area unharmed.

He then flagged down a police cruiser responding to the original call.

After a short foot pursuit an arrest was made on Maplewood Avenue, with a knife seized by police.
