New Country is the highlight for day one of the 21st Annual Mattawa Voyageur Days.
The concerts start at 7:30 pm at Explorers Point with Eric Ethridge, followed by Andrew Hyatt at 9 pm and James Barker Band at 10:30 pm.
The afterhours performance comes from Roadhouse at 12:30 am.
Daytime activities include crafters corner, a golf tournament, inflatables, pony rides and more at Pasco Funland on Mattawa Island, helicopter rides and Otto Holden Dam tours.
There’s also a Christmas Dinner in July at the Legion Hall from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Co-chair Lucie Desrochers says wristbands are $50 in advance and $60 at the gate.
“Still available in North Bay at the Caisse Populaire and the Scotiabank, or if you want to buy them from the comfort of your home or office, you can just go on to voyageurdays.com and buy them online,” she says.
There are new events this year, including Lumberjack Shows on Saturday, then a watersports show on Sunday.
“Waterskiing demonstration, they have a ramp so there will be some jumps, tricks with wakeboards and they also have a jetpack demonstration,” she says.
