The search is on for a northern Ontario man named Ray who helped keep “Truck — The Great Canadian Road Trip” on the road.

David Morton and Don Giroux drove a 1968 Ford F-100 from Osoyoos, BC to the Oakville assembly plant it was made at 50 years ago.

After their truck started leaking coolant near Schreiber they pulled into a gas station, which didn’t have any coolant to sell.

But, that’s where they met Ray.

“Ray saw us struggling in the parking lot and he introduced himself to us, he was a real truck guy. He had a 1953 GMC dump truck that he had restored and had the same straight six in it that we got,” narrates Morton in their video blog. “Ray went back to his house and grabbed us some coolant, some hose clamps and had us back on the road in less than 30 minutes. Ray, God bless you, man.”

The two men are looking to find Ray to thank him properly.

During a stop in North Bay, the duo from Toronto and their truck took part in the weekly North Bay Cruisers car show in front of the North Bay Museum.
