Mayor Al McDonald and US Consul General Juan Alsace

Trade was the focus of a meeting last week in North Bay between Mayor Al McDonald and U.S. Consul General Juan Alsace.

McDonald says they discussed how local companies could broaden their horizons and how American firms could trade and do business here in Canada.

He goes on to say, “It was all about trade and how we can open up lines of communication, knock down some of the barriers, do some networking and we’re talking about doing a conference sometime in the fall or spring.”

McDonald also says the Consul General is very proud of the U.S. Air Force personnel in the city and visited them at the base as well.
