The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has served notice that workers could walk off the job as early as next week because of stalled contract talks.

The union says rotating strikes will begin Monday if agreements aren’t reached.

Canada Post says it will remain open for business if the union decides to start rotating strikes, and will notify customers of any disruptions planned by the union as soon as it’s aware.

CUPW represents 50,000 Canada Post employees, including about 120 in the North Bay area.
