The North Bay Battalion will be looking for their fifth straight win tonight (Thursday) when they host Erie at Memorial Gardens.

One of those wins came last Saturday against the Otters.

Acting head coach Adam Dennis says they expect a tough opponent tonight.

“Erie’s a very hot team right now. They’ve got points in five of their last six. They’re a good young team and they have a lot of similarities to our group. We would be crazy to take them lightly,”  he says.

Despite their recent success, Dennis says the Troops won’t be overconfident.

“When you’re 8th in the conference that’s not where you want to be. We want to push and get home ice advantage for the playoffs,” he says.

The Battalion are 8-7 on the season and have also won their last two home games.

The Troops are last in the division and will move into 4th in the Central Division with a win tonight.

Broadcast time on Country 600 CKAT is 6:55.
