Ferguson construction(File Photo) An update on a few area road projects.

On Ferguson Street, some minor final paving work is expected to be completed this week with phase 2.  There’s also boulevard restoration while the Worthington intersection is expected to be open this week.

In terms of phase 3 of Ferguson, final paving was completed earlier this week and there’s some curb and sidewalk work with boulevard restoration.

Meantime, on Pinewood Park Drive, at last check, the asphalt contractor is doing final driveway tie ins, the review is ongoing after the sewer and laterals were videoed and the contractor is working with Public Works to get all the traffic signs re-installed so the ramp from Lakeshore to Pinewood Park Drive can be opened.

Paving with the Cedar Heights watermain project is slated to be done this week with guiderails being finished, road line painting will get underway and work on the pedestrian crossing signals continues.

Meantime, with the Cedar Heights booster pumping station the contractor is expected to start installing the mechanical equipment with interior electrical work continuing.

In terms of the John Street Bridge, all underground servicing is done, approach slabs are expected to be poured this week with waterproofing of the deck next week.

Work on the sidewalk is expected to start late this week or early next while while asphalt work is expected to begin either late next week or the start of the week after.
