The 56th annual Le Carnaval des Compagnons gets underway next week.

The festival runs February 7th to the 10th and includes an evening of the arts and comedy show, pancake breakfasts and outdoor activities on Main Street Saturday, Febuary 9th.

There’s also a free family skate that day at Memorial Gardens.

The closing ceremonies goes Sunday, February 10th at the Capitol Centre.

“This is an event not to be missed,” says Michel Pagé, president of Les Compagnons des francs loisirs’ Board of Directors. “It’s the perfect opportunity to get together and celebrate French language and culture as well as the talent of francophone youth. We hope that everyone will take advantage of this unique celebration to have fun and connect with the francophone community.”

From February 11th-13th there’s entertainment for local students taking place at the Capitol Centre.
