Canada 150

2017 is a milestone year for Canada with it being 150 years since Confederation.

To celebrate the Canada 150 Fund is accepting applications for community projects up to $50,000. A variety of groups can apply including municipalities, not-for-profits and schools too.

Meantime, the other program is the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th which offers up grants of $100 to $15,000 for community initiatives.

MP Anthony Rota is encouraging local communities and organizations to apply, “Canada’s 150th birthday is a time to celebrate our country’s rich history. I would like to encourage local communities, schools and organizations to apply to the Canada 150 Fund as well as the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th and be part of the celebration.”
