More "Back to School" enforcement-related speeding tickets

The city police “Back To School” Traffic enforcement campaign continues with five speeding tickets issued yesterday (Wednesday) including three in the newly marked O’Brien Street community safety zone.

While the amber lights are flashing between 8 am and 4 pm in that zone, the speed limit is 40 km/h.

The other two tickets were issued in a community safety zone, that is always 40 km/h, on Jane Street at Harvey.

Police also issued four 72-hour notices for failing to show documentation.

Meantime, police say they did not observe any drivers who failed to stop for a school bus nor did they see any who failed to wait for pedestrians and school crossing guards to completely cross the road at school crossings.
