The North Bay Battalion will be playing their most important game of the year tonight.

The Troops host Barrie at Memorial Gardens and assistant coach Adam Dennis says everyone knows it’s a big game.

“Most people can do the math. It’s a pretty important game. Six games left in the season and are last one against Barrie. It’s a big one for both teams and I expect a playoff atmosphere,” he says.

The Troops hold down the eighth and final playoff spot — three points ahead of the ninth place Colts.

Hamilton took over sole possession of seventh with a win last night (Wednesday).

Dennis says they have some key home games against the teams close to them in the standings down the stretch.

We’ve had success against all these teams including Barrie, Hamilton and Peterborough at some point in the season. It’s important that we go into these last six games and get as many points as we can,” Dennis says.

The Troops have won four of the previous five games against Barrie.

Broadcast time is is 6:55 pm on Country 600 CKAT.
