A 25 year old Commanda resident is facing an arson charge here in North Bay.

City police say fire crews were called to a residential fire on McIntyre Street East Sunday evening.

Police say the fire was limited to a bedroom area of a residential unit, and was intentionally set.

 

 

North Bay Police have charged 4 people in connection with a drug seizure last Saturday in the 300 block area of Champlain Avenue.

Three of the four, a 41 year old male, a 28 year old female and a 40 year old male are from North Bay and the other, a 25 year old male is from Etobicoke.

The charges include possession of cocaine, oxycodone pills, fentanyl as well as possession of proceeds of crime and possession of prohibited weapons.

Police seized the above mentioned drugs, 4 prohibited flick knives and above $2,800 in Canadian currency.

The drugs have a street value of over $2,400.

 

 

North Bay Police have charged a 25 year old city man after a robbery late last Wednesday night.

It’s alleged a man entered the business on the 500 block of Lakeshore, demanded the cash register be opened and took off with a small amount of cash and lottery tickets.

He was arrested yesterday and charged with robbery and uttering threats.

 

North Bay Police are investigating three business break-ins in the downtown early Saturday.

Nothing was taken from two of the them, with a small amount of cash taken from the third.

A window was broken to a business in the 100 block of McIntyre East around 3 am, entry was gained to a business in the 100 block of Main West between 4 and 4:30 while a window was smashed around 5 am to a business in the 600 block of McIntyre East.

 

And a 25 year old Barrie woman is facing drug possession and trafficking charges after a vehicle was stopped in North Bay on Saturday.

City police say a suspicious vehicle was spotted on McKeown Avenue with 2.7 grams of cocaine and over $2600 in Canadian cash being seized.

It’s alleged the suspect ran from the vehicle when pulled over, but was caught by police.
