North Bay's Police Chief being invested into Order of Merit of the Police Forces

North Bay’s Police Chief is one of 52 people being invested into the Order of Merit of the Police Forces later this week.

Chief Shawn Devine becomes a Member of the Order Friday morning at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.

The order honours a career of exceptional service or distinctive merit displayed by the men and women of Canadian police forces and recognizes their commitment to this country.

Honours are being bestowed by Governor General David Johnston.
