Mattawa residents can learn more about provincial flood assistance tonight (Thurs).

MPP Vic Fedeli says an information session goes at 6:30 pm at the Mattawa Council Chambers.

“Our number one priority is the safety of the public and the protection of our communities. Our government is committed to protecting what matters most – and that includes protecting our homes, businesses, and infrastructure that keeps our economy moving. We continue to deploy all resources at our disposal to help Ontario families,” said Fedeli.

Staff from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing will give a presentation on the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians program, including information on eligibility criteria, support documentation requirements, and how to apply.

After the presentation, residents will have an opportunity to speak with staff from the ministry and MPP Fedeli’s office to ask questions.

Information on program guidelines, FAQ’s and application forms can be found online at www.ontario.ca/disasterassistance

Application assistance and questions can also be emailed to disasterassistance@ontario.ca or individuals can call 1-844-780-8925.
