That’s Deputy Mayor Sheldon Forgette commenting on the idea of having two less seats around the council table.

Forgette did move the motion forward but he says there’s still plenty to be discussed in terms of workload for only eight Councillors, if Council decides to cut two positions during the next municipal election.

He originally wanted to keep the motion at the committee level, but at the last minute moved it forward anyway.

Council will vote to cut down to eight positions next term, during Monday’s council meeting.
