Provincial grants announced

The Ontario Arts Council providing over $130,000 in funding for several local organizations.

The list includes $45,000 for Aanmitaagzi which benefits local aboriginal artists and arts organizations, $20,000 for the North Bay Symphony Orchestra and $16,000 for the White Water Gallery.There’s also $16,000 for the Capitol Center, $14,000 for the Near North Mobile Media Lab, $10,000 for the Coordinating Body of Arts Culture and Heritage or CBACH for the Make North Bay Better project, $8,000 for the Nipissing Region Curatorial Collective to support arts and crafts and $2,100 for Windsong Music toward its Windsong Music Festival

Some of the money goes towards operating grants while some goes to specific project grants.
