battalion280x160The North Bay Battalion wrapped up a weekend road trip with a loss in Mississauga yesterday (Sunday).

Meantime, the Powassan Voodoos won their 13th straight game while both Nipissing Lakers soccer teams shutout RMC on Sunday. 

 

In the OHL, the Mississauga Steelheads scored a 4-2 win over the North Bay Battalion on Sunday afternoon.

It was the third game in four days for the Troops, who lost last Thursday at home to Windsor then dropped an overtime decision Saturday in London, versus the Knights.

Mike Amadio and Miles Liberati scored shorthanded goals for the Battalion on Sunday.

North Bay is next in action on Thursday night at home to the Ottawa 67’s.

 

Voodoos_Newsletter_280In the NOJHL, the Powassan Voodoos are now 13-0 on the season.

They won 7-3 over Iroquois Falls Sunday afternoon, with Tyler Peters scoring a hat trick.

Four other Voodoos, McKenzie Gray, Steven Harland, Daniel Golba and Eric Champagne, also scored in the win.

Powassan is back in action on Friday night at 7pm, at home to Blind River.

 

NU lakersIn OUA men’s soccer, the Nipissing Lakers shutout RMC 2-0 yesterday (Sunday) and officially earned a berth in the post-season for the fourth straight year.

The Lakers will take on Carleton on Wednesday in Ottawa.

Meantime, the Nipissing women wrapped up their season with a 3-0 win over RMC.

They finished 7th in the tough East Division standings with 21 points.
