Finding out what's popular with Halloween costumes this year locally

It’s Halloween week with the big day on Saturday.

Afternoon Editor Bob Coles talked with some local stores to find out what children (of all ages) might be wearing.

He found that variety seems to be the word this year in our informal survey of what’s hot at stores in North Bay.

One location said they are selling a lot of girls costumes with characters from Frozen and princess dresses being hot items.

Another said Star Wars characters like “Stormtroopers” and “Darth Vader” are coming off the shelves and another said traditional characters like witches, pirates, kitties and Superman are popular items.

Other costumes that are generating interest include “Dracula’s Vampire Man” and the Avengers characters “Hulk” and “Iron Man”.
