hospital bedThe conversation about death needs to become more common place according to Dr. Deborah Harold.

She is a Palliative Care Physician from Huntsville and gave the Keynote address at the “Live to 100” Conference in North Bay today.

She says everyone should be advocating for palliative care so they have the choice of what the end of their lives will look like.

Harold says the conversation about death needs to become more common place. She says the questions shouldn’t be “IF” I die, it should be “WHEN it happens and WHAT will happen.”

Harold says we don’t need to wait for physician assisted dying to become the norm before we can discuss the choices we already have to help with death.
