Three municipal boat launches are now open per a provincial government announcement earlier today.

They’re located at Champlain Park, Sunset Park and Armstrong Park.

The city says the launch at the Waterfront Marina will be open on Saturday.

Marina customers are asked to call the office at (705) 495-3959 to book a dock slip appointment.

The city says if another boater is launching a boat when you arrive, wait in line by remaining in your vehicle until they are finished as physical distancing protocols remain in effect.

City parks and green spaces are open for walking, running or riding their bikes through, but playground equipment and other structures remain closed.

list of tips

If another boater is launching a boat when you arrive, please queue in line and remain in your vehicle until they are finished.
Do not congregate near the boat launch prior to or after launching your boat.
Ensure you are maintaining a distance of two metres apart from others while loading/unloading boats and while on the waterways.
Ensure you are practicing safe and responsible boating practices in order to minimize the need for emergency service response.
