Highway 17 West improvements in Northern Highways Program

The province has announced more than $69-million through the Northern Highways Program with a number of projects lined up around the north.

In our area, projects include new and expanded passing lanes on Highway 17 between Verner and Sturgeon Falls along with work on the Big Cache Creek culvert west of Sturgeon Falls.

It’s project involving 10.5 km of the highway.

The project is expected to wrap up in September 2016.
