Local officials are gearing up for the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign.
The fundraiser runs next week, from September 14th to the 20th, with 100 percent of the proceeds from the one-dollar cookie sales going to Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
Executive Director Gil Pharand says the funds raised will help them deliver their programs and services to North Bay and the region.
“It’s such an important service, since we’ve opened our doors in January we’ve had over 50 residents come through out doors and there’s some great stories and great experiences that have occured here,” he says.
Pharand says cookies can be pre-ordered, by the dozen, up until 3 pm tomorrow.
“You purchase them from the hospice and then they can be picked up at the hospice (between Sept. 14-18), or if it’s six dozen or more that is ordered we will actually deliver to whoever has them,” he adds.
