The North Bay Battalion played their first road game yesterday afternoon and came away from Mississauga with their first victory of the season too.

The Troops beat the Steelheads 7-4.

Brett McKenzie had a three point game with a goal and two assists, while Brett Hargrave (pictured) scored twice.

Brad Chenier, Justin Brazeau, Zach Poirier and Zach Shankar added singles for North Bay.

Brent Moran made 34 saves in the win.

Next up, the Battalion entertain Owen Sound on Thursday night.

 

The Powassan Voodoos are back in action tonight, at home to French River.

Game time at the Powassan Sportsplex is 7:30 pm.

The Voodoos are fresh off a 4-0 win over Kirkland Lake on Friday night.

Nate McDonald earned the shutout.

Andy Baker, Gabriel Rheault, Parker Bowman and Cameron Moore scored in the win.

 

The North Bay Midget AAA Trappers are 6-0 on the season.

This after a 4-2 win over the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves on Saturday.

Jake Gravelle scored twice with singles from Ryan Mills and Eric Lachance.

The same two teams play Wednesday night at Memorial Gardens.
