A dozen staff along with drivers and carriers are being impacted by the North Bay Nipissing News ceasing publication early next month.

The Metroland Media Group property reports their final edition will be October 8th.

The paper’s publisher is quoted in an article in the North Bay Nipissing News saying that in a changing industry they always re-evaluate their opportunities and have concluded they can strengthen their business with the change.

The paper started printing back in August 2011.
