Goods exchangeThe fall edition of North Bay’s Goods Exchange Day is tomorrow (Saturday).

Waste Management Co-ordinator Al Tomek says the event runs from 8 am to 6 pm.

Essentially you can put any items out on your curb and people driving or walking by can pick them up. As for what items he says anything really including tools, sporting goods, patio furniture and exercise equipment, but no hazardous waste material.

Tomek says any items not exchanged must go back inside as there is no pickup at any time in the day.

He also says make sure you don’t put out items you want to keep, as sometimes they can get taken by mistake, if they are nearby.

Tomek says the other Goods Exchange Day is in April.

He says they do it in late September to convince college and university students to take part.
