New trustee sworn in at the Near North Board

The Near North District School Board welcomed a new Trustee for North Bay this week.

Louise Sargent was officially sworn in, filling the vacancy left by the passing of long-time trustee and former Board Chair Kathy Hewitt.

After a 33 year career in teaching, Sargent retired in June 2014.

She’s looking forward to the opportunity of using her background and knowledge to continue to advocate for students.
