A child pornography charge laid in North Bay

North Bay Police have laid a possession of child pornography charge against a Garden Village man.

Police say their investigation in this case began in August after they received a report of someone leaving behind property in a residential unit in North Bay.

Police say they seized several hard drives, cell phones, DVD’s and CD’s.

Results from the DVD’s and CD’s which was forensically examined contained numerous pornographic movies depicting young female children being sexually abused and there were short type written child pornography stories also.

Nicholas McLeod has been charged with one count of possession of child pornography.

Police say the hard drives and phones have been sent to Sudbury Police for forensic examination.
