TJay Aspinhis past Saturday saw the opening of Conservative candidate Jay Aspin‘s campaign office, where he and his supporters gathered to discuss the incumbent’s plans for re-election.

During his speech, Aspin said the main issue is job growth and the economy.

He says as MP, he has been able to acquire $36-million in funding, specifically for job growth in Nipissing-Timiskaming.

Aspin says this has led to the creation of 2,400 to 2,500 jobs in the area.

He also unveiled a plan called Nipissing 2020, which he says will help make the region “The future launch centre for satellites in Canada“.

He says horizontal test launches will commence in the spring of 2016.

Aspin also talked about the Energy East Pipeline proposal and says that he will be advocating for clean water. However, he believes we do need the oil pipeline to reduce foreign dependency and to create jobs for the nation.
