North Bay Police are appealing to witnesses to come forward after a pedestrian-related collision Monday after 1 pm on McKeown Avenue.

A woman in her 60s suffered minor injuries.

Police say she was crossing McKeown Avenue at Champlain, at the crosswalk while the “walk” signal was on, when she was struck by the mirror of a blue four-door car.

The driver, of unknown description and travelling alone, failed to stop.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact city police or Crime Stoppers.

 

City police say a pick-up truck reported stolen yesterday (Tuesday) has been recovered.

The 2014 F150 black Ford pick-up was left abandoned on the 900 block of Algonquin Avenue around 8 o’clock last night.

It was towed to police headquarters for forensic examination. The truck was stolen earlier in the day from Burns Street.

Meantime, police are investigating the theft of another truck sometime overnight from Jane Street.

The vehicle is described as a 2005 Ford F250 pickup grey/charcoal in colour.

It was taken between 9 pm last night and 5 am today.
