A planting program is underway

There’s a whole lot of planting going on.  The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority’s Restore Your Shore Program  is under way.  Staff and the Ministry of Natural Resources North Bay Dstrict Stewardship Youth Ranger Team is planting trees, shrubs and perennials along Callander Bay.  Officials say that have a goal of planting on 30 properties. 

This is the 2nd launch of the program this year as trees, shrubs and plants were planted earlier in the spring.

Officials say 19 properties have seen planting to date.
