The North Bay Battalion scored three out of four possible points on their weekend road trip to southwestern Ontario.

After a 5-4 overtime loss in Windsor on Saturday night the Troops won 6-4 in Sarnia Sunday afternoon.

Brady Lyle got North Bay’s first goal against the Sting with Brett McKenzie scoring twice in the win.

His third period marker evened the score at 3 with Justin Brazeau giving the Battalion a 4-3 lead just 17 seconds later.

After Sarnia tied the game at 4, Steve Harland potted what would turn out to be the game winning goal with just under 2 minutes left in the third.

Maurizio Colella rounded out the scoring with an empty netter.

Goaltender Brent Moran made 33 saves in the win.

The Battalion now have 17 points and are tied with Sudbury atop the Central Division.

The Troops are back in action Thursday at home to the London Knights.
