A 43 year old of no fixed address has been charged with break, enter and commit and theft under 5 Thousand Dollars. The charges against Richard Layton relate to an incident at a downtown coffee shop early on Tuesday morning. Police say they reviewed some video surveillance footage and confirmed a male entered the establishment, stole cash and damaged the building. Police say an arrest was made Wednesday morning.

Meantime, North Bay Police say 49 year old Richard Alexander Desroches has been charged with fraud over 5 Thousand Dollars, unauthorized use of a credit card and breach of trust.

Police say a male used a credit card belonging to a local non profit to make several fraudulent and unauthorized transactions for personal gain.

Police say Desroches has a September 22nd court date.
