Members of CUPE and the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions from around the province came to North Bay to support Sue McIntyre today (Monday).

OCHU says she is the nurse who was fired by the local hospital for comments she made about violence in the workplace. Over 300 workers came out for the rally,

This included Mike Bisaillon, who is an Executive Board Member with OPSEU.

He says they were calling for the reinstatement of McIntyre.

Bisaillon says they will continue to be courageous and speak out about workplace violence.

McIntyre spoke to the crowd just outside the front doors of her former workplace.

She says she is very thankful for all the support and hopes they continue to shed light on workplace violence.
