Memorial GardensNorth Bay City Council is looking outside city hall when it comes to any concerts at Memorial Gardens.

Chair of Community Services Mark King says they don’t have the expertise to put their foot into the promotions business.

King says the city is not in the business of attracting concerts. He says what they will do is look outside of city hall for that kind of expertise. King says they will listen and look for offers from professional promoters, but they are not going to look at getting concerts themselves

This all comes as the city has awarded a contract to enhance electrical upgrades to support concerts at the Gardens. The contract is $124,000 and King says it was made available by FedNor.
