Police (north bay)A 29 year old North Bay man has been arrested for trespassing. City Police were dispatched to a residence north of High Street at 2 pm on Wednesday and  they received a report of a man who had entered a residence of people unknown to him while they were home. Police say it is alleged the man locked the door behind him and told the residents someone was chasing him and asked them to call police – which they did.  Following an investigation, police arrested the male and he was given a provincial notice under the Trespass to Property Act.

Also, police have arrested and charged a 40 year old North Bay man with three counts of mischief under $5000 and one count of forcible confinement.

On Wednesday , it is alleged that following arguments with a female partner on three separate occasions in July, the accused caused damage to three of her personal items and prevented the victim from leaving their residence.

Police will not be releasing the name of the accused to protect the identity of the victim.
