A city police officer has been charged by the North Bay Police Service.

This after an incident Tuesday night.

Chief Paul Cook with the details.

Cook says as a result of Tuesday night’s incident he has lodged a chief’s complaint and that’s been assigned to investigation.

He says when a member is charged criminally they run a parallel investigation under the Police Services Act.

Meantime, Constable Taylor was charged by OPP last December for failing to provide a breath sample.

A disciplinary hearing is pending in relation to that incident.

Taylor was previously convicted of a fail to provide a breath sample charge in 2011.
