The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit at the North Bay Regional Health Centre is getting a funding boost, thanks to McHappy Day.

Tammy Morison, the President and CEO of the Health Centre Foundation says they received half of the funds raised from the local McDonalds restaurants – which equals just over $5,000 this year.

She says the funding is much appreciated as work needs to be done in their Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit.

Brad Haines is the Owner and Operator of the three McDonalds in North Bay and the one in Sturgeon Falls.

He says they thank the community for coming out and supporting McHappy Day. He says $1 from every Big Mac, coffee and Happy Meal went towards this initiative.

Haines says this has been a great partnership for the last two years, and one that will continue over the next three years.
