North Bay Police logoA busy weekend for North Bay Police with 239 calls for service and 10 people arrested and charged for a variety of offences. 

They include obstruct police, assault police, domestic assault, impaired, public intoxication, fraud under $5,000 and identity theft along with a variety of breach counts. 

Meantime, one of those incidents involves an investigation following an incident Friday afternoon around 4pm at the waterfront. 

Verner man is facing charges.  

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated male, who gave an identity that police later discovered was false. 

He wasn’t deemed a danger to anyone and was sent on his way. 

It’s further alleged police later saw him drinking suspected alcohol while walking downtown, then fled to a Main Street East apartment when police tried to talk to him. 

After a man was arrested, two officers were alleged assaulted when placing him in a police cruiser. 

The 19 year old man is charged with obstruct police, two counts of assault police and breach.
