Despite a pre-council rally, no decision is being on the fate of the Dionne Quints home as of yet.

Mayor and council heard no less than 10 presenters on the subject, all with impassioned pleas to keep the home in North Bay.

Rally leader, Joshua Pride says this council shouldn’t want to be remembered as the council who ignored its citizens’ pleas and moved a piece of North Bay heritage.

Many other presenters were curious as to why there was no effort being put into preserving the city’s culture and heritage when so much goes into recreation instead.

The issue is still before the committee level of council.

Council did say a new location could present itself in the very near future, with more to be announced at a later date.
