Council forms committees

North Bay’s elected politicians have given the green light to the creation of 3 special review committees.

They will be composed of members of council and staff. Mayor Al McDonald says every member of council will be involved and council and staff will both be making recommendations.

The committees are on water rates, next year’s budget process and a long term financial plan. McDonald says there’s a discrepancy between industrial and residential when it comes to water bills and the committee will look at that.

All three committees will report to the entire council in September.

There will be an opportunity for public input.
