northgate-logoA couple of property issues were unveiled at North Bay City Council Monday night.

First, a rezoning proposal was approved by city council.

Community Services chair Mark King says there will be a new business going in at the Northgate Shopping Centre.

He says a fitness centre will be operating where the drug store used to be. King wouldn’t reveal the name of the fitness centre.

Still at Northgate Shopping Centre, a new music store is coming to North Bay.

An online job posting for sales associates says Sunrise Records, a large Canadian CD/DVD/Vinyl Record retailer, is opening next month.

Full and part-time positions are available.

And back to council Monday night, some city land behind the Home Depot has been sold with the approval of council.

Mayor Al McDonald says an organization wants to build a facility there but wouldn’t say what organization.  However, he says it is great news for the city.
