City-hall1There is just one council meeting tonight (Monday) at North Bay City Hall.

The committee meeting scheduled for 6 pm has been cancelled.

Mayor Al McDonald says there are a half dozen items on the agenda at the regular meeting which starts at 7 pm, including audited financial statements.

He says the preliminary indication is that the city’s debt has decreased by between $4-million to $5-million.

There will also be reports on two subdivision proposals and a rezoning request regarding a potential business in the Northgate Shopping Centre.

There will also be 3 special review committee motions on next years budget process, a long term financial plan and water rates.

Meantime, there’s one scheduled public presentation about water rates.

McDonald says it involves equity between residential, industrial and commercial classes when it comes to water rates with the city bringing in water meters.
