battalion280x1602The Troops are in Erie for game one of a two game road trip while Nipissing‘s women’s hockey team looks to wrap up their first round playoff series in Kingston.

In the OHL, the North Bay Battalion play the league-leading Otters tonight (Friday) in Erie.

20 points separate the two teams in the standings.

With 69 points, North Bay is chasing Barrie for top spot in the Central Division.

The Colts, who lost 4-2 to Windsor on Thursday, lead the Battalion by three points. Barrie has also played one less game than North Bay.

Tonight’s broadcast from Erie starts at 6:35 pm on Country 600 CKAT.

The Battalion also visit Hamilton tomorrow night.

 

NU lakersIn OUA women’s hockey, the Nipissing Lakers are in Kingston tonight (Friday) looking to clinch their first round playoff series against Queens.

Nipissing won game one of the best of three 2-1 in overtime on Wednesday afternoon here in North Bay.

Game three, if necessary, is scheduled for tomorrow night in Kingston.
