Women interested in small business the focus of upcoming event

The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound is appealing directly to women to see if they are interested in starting their own business.

Project Officer for the Microlending for women program Tracey Cain says the Business Centre is putting on an “Exploring Small Business Opportunities for Women” event at the Hampton Inn a week from Tuesday, on June 23rd.

She says an event like this isn’t new, but it’s different because of the information it provides.

Cain says this is the first time they’re are providing information on a program from thinking about becoming a small business owner to making it happen.

She says there are several guest speakers in attendance including Dr. Kristin Shepherd, Denyse Lafrance-Horning, Sarah Morrin of Genesis @204 and Denise Sherritt of The Business Centre.
