relay for life$254,000.  That’s the goal for this year’s North Bay Relay For Life.

The six hour event goes tonight (Friday) at CFB North Bay.

Canadian Cancer Society Branch Manager Gil Pharand says they have the opening ceremonies at 6 pm, followed by the Survivor Lap.

Overall, he says they have a lot great music and activities throughout the night to “really celebrate those that we have been lost, those that are with us and those that are fighting.”

Honorary survivor Angela Johnston is thanking the community for their support. “The fact that our community surrounds us with love and financial support, in regards to helping us find a cure.”

$3.2-million has been raised locally in the past 15 years, supporting patients and their families in the community along with research.
