Hospice finds a home

Officials with the Nipissing Serenity Hospice have found their preferred site and have put in an offer to purchase the property.

The location has not been announced but officials say it is in a peaceful, park-like setting that meets all criteria identified by the community.

It’ll be an autonomous, free-standing residential home.

The board also identified including a central location that is accessible to public transportation and on city services.

The capital campaign launch is being held June 19th.

Officials pointing out the hospice would also require about $600,000 in annual operating costs.
