Christmas can be a lonely time of year for some and that’s why the Community Christmas Day Dinner Committee holds their event each year.

Co-chair Annette Dutrisac says a turkey dinner is being held on Sunday December 25th from 11am to 1:30 pm in the Pro Cathedral Parish Hall.

“It is a full Christmas dinner, with all the trimmings, and we just welcome everybody to come out and enjoy. We have a huge team coming in to entertain,” she said.

Dutrisac says the dinner is about ensuring no one goes hungry and no one is lonely.

“A lot of our volunteers fit into that category and just love to be with someone. You’re not going to come and sit alone either, we will come and visit with you, if you so wish,” she added.

Meantime, volunteers are still needed for the event.

Those interested are asked to call 705-497-4748 and leave your name and phone number.
