Voodoos re-sign a couple players

The Powassan Voodoos have announced a couple of returnees to their roster for next season.

They are Callander’s Jake Staples a forward and defenseman Josh Ibbitson, a former North Bay Midget AAA Trappers blueliner.

Staples played 20 regular season games and scored 11 goals and picked up 12 assists.  In the playoffs, he notched a team leading 11 goals and chipped in with 7 assists in just a dozen games. Ibbitson had 22 points including 19 assists in the regular season and added 5 more assists in the playoffs.

The Voodoos will be back on the ice next month with another prospects camp at the Pete Palangio Arena.
