(UPDATE) Fatal crash on Highway 64 in Municipality of French River

An update into this morning’s (Monday) fatal collision on Highway 64 in the Municipality of French River.

OPP say an eastbound pick-up collided with a passenger vehicle shortly after 6 am, near Gauthier Road.

Police say the driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to hospital by air ambulance and later died of her injuries.

The deceased is identified as 44 year old Tammy Dini Mitchell of French River.

The driver of the pick-up, a 33 year old French River man, Roch Labelle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
