Traffic stop leads to drug charges for three people

An ongoing city police Street Crime Unit investigation and a traffic stop yesterday (Monday) at 4 pm at McLeod and Cedar Streets has led to charges for three people.

A 32 year old man from Nipissing has been charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a prohibited weapon, trafficking marijuana and a breach of weapons prohibition order.

A 37 year old North Bay man and an 18 year city woman are both charged with one count of possession of marijuana.

Police say 100 grams of marijuana were seized along with $645 in Canadian cash, $60 in U.S. money, brass knuckles, drug accessories and electronics.
